What does AWANA mean?

“Approved Workmen Are Not Ashamed” 2 Timothy 2:15

 Purpose of the Awana Ministry

*To reach boys and girls with the gospel of Christ and train them to serve Him.

*To reach parents and family members with the gospel.

*To train adults to minister to children.

 Awana pledge

I pledge allegiance to the Awana flag which stands for the Awana clubs whose goal is to reach boys and girls with the Gospel of Christ and to train them to serve Him.

 How Awana Parents Can Help

*Establish a regular time to work on their section with your child…morning and evening

*Read with your child each week’s section and follow the simple instructions

*Listen to your child recite the verse and sign your name. Be ENCOURAGING!

*Check the Calendar to see what the next week brings to your clubber

 Child Protection

We live in a world of sinners. We know this and still we’re appalled that we need to protect our children. We as Cornerstone Awana have taken every step to make sure your kids are in good hands. Only Awana Workers are ALLOWED in Awana area.

Cornerstone Awana Rules

*Be nice to our FRIENDS (no hitting/kicking)

*Only KIND words allowed

*Show RESPECT to our Leaders/Assistants/Clubbers

*Be quiet throughout Church building

*No outside belongings should come to church

Awana Dress Code

All Leaders and Clubbers must wear their uniform and bring their handbook to club each week. Tennis shoes and jeans should be worn for safety reasons.
